You don't have to be the strong one all the time.

Therapy for the ones who are tired
of carrying it all...anxiety, family expectations, people-pleasing, trauma, and the weight of generational patterns.

Trauma & Past Hurt • Grief & Loss • Anxiety & Overwhelm • People-Pleasing & Boundaries • Relationships & Family Challenges •

You can honor where you come from without losing yourself.

The strong one. The dependable one. The one who learned to put everyone else first, even when you were struggling too.

Family, culture, and generational patterns can shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and what we believe we're allowed to want.

Therapy can be a space to explore those patterns, set boundaries without guilt, and create a life that feels true to you.

Overthinking, stress, and feeling like you have to hold it all together.

Anxiety & Overwhelm

People-Pleasing & Boundaries

Trauma & Healing

Healing from past experiences and understanding how they still affect you.

Hi, I’m Romy

You deserve to be cared for, too.

I’m Romy Nuñes, LCSW, a bilingual Latina therapist and the founder of Sana Sana Counseling, PLLC. For over a decade, I’ve worked with people navigating the weight of family expectations, complicated relationships, life changes, and the pressure to always hold it all together.

I understand that being high-achieving can come with its own set of challenges. Being there for your family. Making everyone proud. Carrying responsibilities that aren't always yours to hold. Feeling guilty when you choose yourself, even when you know you need to.

And sometimes, the hardest part isn't holding it all together. It's feeling like you have to keep doing it alone.

At Sana Sana Counseling, you don't have to choose between honoring where you come from and becoming who you want to be. You can explore your boundaries, make space for your own needs, and learn to show up for yourself without feeling like you're letting everyone else down.

colita de rana...

We're inspired by the Spanish phrase "Sana, sana, colita de rana, si no sanas hoy, sanarás mañana," a comforting rhyme that reflects tradition and affection, used to soothe physical or emotional pain. We aim to bring that sense of healing to our clients by addressing mental health concerns like grief, trauma, and anxiety, with a focus on young adults, communities of color, immigrant families, and survivors of domestic violence.
